To be a parent, we feel it gives us the opportunity to share all the love we have for each other with another human being. We both feel being able to teach and watch a child grow and learn is the most rewarding part about being a parent. A parent is a person that brings up and cares for another. Parenting is a process of raising, promoting, and supporting the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of a child to adulthood and across their life span. It also gives a whole new meaning to life knowing after a hard day's work we can come home to a child and our significant other. We can't wait to make memories that will last a lifetime!

The qualities that Kim has made it easy for Cody to fall in love with her. Kim's hard work and determination helped her become a leader in management from starting at ground zero. Cody admires Kim for how she's maintained a healthy work/life balance. Cody feels Kim is one of the most caring and big-hearted people he knows. He also admires the person she is today and is excited to see what the future brings.

Cody's passion for family and friends has shown Kim how important they are to him. Kim respected Cody from day one when she saw how he interacted with his little cousins. Kim admires Cody most for being hard working, dependable and dedicated to the ones that mean the most to him. Just like Kim, Cody has a huge heart for animals.

We live on a lake in a single-family home in a small town outside of Wisconsin's state capital.

Our home is a single story open concept with three bedrooms, finished basement and fenced yard with access to a beautiful lake. Cody's favorite room in our home is the theater room that he built with the help of family. He enjoys Friday night movies and all sorts of sporting events. Kim enjoys the deck that overlooks the water and fields with the calming sounds of nature.

Our neighborhood has an annual festival that consists of a kid's dance, movie night, softball tournament, food and live music.

There's a park just a block from our home and a community swimming pool just 10 minutes away. We often see deer and wildlife roaming the fields close to our home as our location resides on the outskirts of the neighborhood. The school bus picks up and drops off right in front of our house. There are many family events that the community holds throughout the year.

We hold our family and friends close to our hearts therefore it's a rare occasion for them not to be seen over the weekends. The majority of them live within a 30-to-60-minute drive from our home. We both grew up with siblings who now have children of their own.

Cody's extended family is quite large, we often find ourselves attending events at the farm his mom grew up on. The old rustic barn was renovated into an event hall/Airbnb. Due to the size of his family the traditional St. Patrick's Day party is now hosted there. Although Cody doesn't care for it, Corned Beef and Cabbage is a must have and always served! It's a beautiful location for his families' gatherings.

Kim's family enjoys making delicious home cooked meals and participating in game night. You can often find them playing euchre or some sort of board game. Kim enjoys spending time with her three sisters whom she is extremely close to. Kim also loves to care for her three nephews. Additional family traditions Kim and Cody enjoy together consist of decorating Christmas cookies with nieces and nephews, attending holiday events and going to the County Fair. When the Wisconsin weather is nice Kim and Cody both enjoy hosting family and friends where they all can enjoy the sunny deck and boating around the lake.

We've been happily married for 6 years and together for 12. We live on a beautiful lake in Wisconsin therefore we love our home very much. Being able to share our favorite activities with family and friends makes living here so much fun. Swimming, boating and fishing are all things we enjoy during the summer months. We built a smoking shack where we enjoy smoking different types of meat, macaroni and cheese, Cheese-Itz, pizza and much more. We like to share our latest creation of food with friends and family. We feel we are only missing a child to complete our loving family. We both have such wonderful memories growing up, we would love to be able to share all this love with a child. Being able to watch them grow and make our own memories to cherish forever is something we look forward to.
