We Welcome an Open Adoption

Beach Trip

Open adoption is such a unique and special relationship. We love to picture ourselves with our child, sharing stories and pictures of their biological family. Our hope is that we will be able to have a good relationship with our child's birth family, and even plan visits once or twice every year, if that is something that a birth family is open to. With all that there is to do in our state, we look forward to planning trips to Disneyland, the beach, and even the zoo and aquarium together.

It's important to us that our child understands where they came from, and to talk to them about their unique adoption experience. We look forward to creating an adoption plan that honors the level of openness that you decide is best for you and your child. It's so incredible to know that our child will grow up knowing just how loved they are not only by us, but by you as well.

Our Leisure Time

Hiking

We both love being outdoors. Whether that means riding our bikes along the bike path behind our home, spending the day at the park, swimming or just playing outdoor games with family. Most of our weekends in the summer are spent swimming in our pool and having family over for BBQ, cornhole, and a variety of other outdoor games. One of the great aspects about where we live is our proximity to beaches, mountains and national parks. There is always something fun and exciting to do, and we are on the go with our dogs, family and friends whenever possible. We have so many beautiful beaches only two hours away from our home, and we can't wait to have a child to take with us to play in the sand and the ocean! We also love gardening and planting a variety of vegetables and flowers throughout certain times of the year. Cooking is another passion that we both share. We have so much fun trying new recipes and cooking for family, friends and their kids! This is something that we hope to share with a child throughout their life. We are looking forward to having a child to include in all of our adventures!

Our Life Priorities

Getting Baptized

We believe that as a family, it is important to have certain values that are shared with a child from early on. We are both Christians, and plan on raising our child to love and Honor God. It's important to us that we attend church weekly as a family, and we look forward to helping our child become more involved within a youth group or one of the many other activities that our church has to offer. Family is the most important aspect of our lives. We spend time with them several days a week. We love gathering to play games, cook together, and sometimes just sit around and visit. We both grew up playing with our siblings and cousins almost every day, and we can't wait to watch this child grow up with a lot of the same happy memories.

Our House and Neighborhood

We Love Our Home!

We moved into our forever home in the Spring of 2021. Our home is at the end of a cul-de-sac in a well-established neighborhood. When we first bought this house, we bought it with the vision of having a family here one day, and we can't wait to make so many wonderful memories here with a child.

Our neighborhood is very diverse. We have wonderful neighbors, and there are children of all ages that live around us.

An elementary school is within walking distance from us, and is rated as one of the best in our city.

We have four parks within two miles of us, and our community has a variety of activities and events planned throughout the year. The Fourth of July is always a big celebration within our neighborhood.

Our home is 5 bedrooms, three bathrooms, and has a wonderful large family room that we spend the majority of our time in. The real star of the show in our home is our backyard. We have almost half of an acre that has a swing set, sandbox, a garden area and plenty of room for a child to run around and have fun! We also have a swimming pool, which is where we spend most of our days during the summer.

We live only a couple of hours away from the central coast and Disneyland, and only 45 minutes away from some of the best camping spots in the state.

Our Extended Families

Family Gathering

Family is something that is extremely important to us. Bethany's family all lives in our hometown, and just a couple of minutes away from us. We see them weekly and love to get together for BBQ, swimming and games. Bethany's father and stepmother also live nearby, and we see them often as well. Once a year we all get together for a family camping trip towards the end of the summer, which is something they have been doing since Bethany was young. Tyler's parents live in San Diego. He has 4 siblings, 2 live in the same town as us, a short drive away.We get together often for family dinners and trips to San Diego to visit his parents. When everyone is together in San Diego, we all love spending time at the beach, hiking along the coastal trails, and visiting the zoo. Both of our families really enjoy outdoor activities, and chances are if the sun is shining, we are all outside playing games, riding our bikes, or taking our two dogs to the park. We are absolute animal lovers, and enjoy spending time with our pug Beeker, our pug mix Bruce, and our cat Linus. We are both very close with our extended families, and each and every one of them share in our joy to start our family through adoption.

Christmas Eve With Family

From Us to You

We are truly so honored that you have taken this time to view our profile and consider us as potential adoptive parents to your baby. We cannot even begin to understand the difficulty of the decision that you are trying to make, and we know that considering adoption is something that may feel very scary. We pray that, no matter what decision you make, that you are filled with peace, love, and support. We commend you for choosing life and considering an adoption plan. Your strength is absolutely inspiring. The love that a mother has for her child never ends, and it begins before a child is even born. We understand that this makes this decision even more difficult, and we hope that you feel God's comfort as you go through this journey.

We have been married for over 11 years and have been together for almost 14. We have made so many wonderful memories together as a couple and have had so much fun over the years, and we can't wait to share those experiences with a child. We hope that we can convey how much love we have to give to a child, not only from us, but from our wonderful family as well. We are both so excited to become parents. We often talk about all of the fun things we can't wait to do together as a family. We are lovers of the outdoors, and we hope that we can show our child the beauty of nature through camping, hiking, fishing, bike riding, or even just playing in the dirt in the backyard. We are non denominational Christians, and we hope that along with growing up in our church, that we can teach our child to be generous towards others, kind-hearted, and respectful to everyone, no matter what their background may be. We so look forward to standing on the sidelines at all of their games cheering them on and being their biggest cheerleaders. I have always wanted to be a soccer mom, hauling all of the kids to pizza in my mini van after the big game. We have always wanted to be the parents whose home is open to all of their friends as they grow up, because that's how we grew up. We know that our child will have some wonderful experiences growing up within our family and we look forward to witnessing a child grow and change over the years of their life. We also expect that there will be times where our child goes through more challenging times as well. We promise to show them love, compassion and understanding during these times, no matter how cranky they are during those teenage years. Cooking is one of our favorite things to do together, and we envision teaching a child how to make all of our favorite recipes. The kitchen is truly the heart of our home. We both have such fond memories learning how to cook from a young age, and we believe that being able to pass those experiences down to a child is such a great honor. Most importantly, we promise that our home will always be a safe, loving space to come home to. Any child that comes into our family will never question how loved they truly are, not just by us, but by you as well.

We want to express to you how much we honor and respect your decision, no matter what it may be. If you do decide to move forward with an adoption plan, we promise to love and protect your baby with all of our hearts. We promise to respect whatever level of openness or level of contact that you choose is best for you. We can't wait to share pictures, videos and letters with you as your child grows. We are also open to in person visits as well! You will always be a part of our family and in our hearts. We will always express to your child just how much love you have for them. We can't wait to meet you, and we are praying for you and your precious baby.
