Our Leisure Time

New York City

We love to travel and experience all life has to offer in the new places we find. Since Tyler was a child, his family has planned yearly beach vacations where family comes to fish, cook, and enjoy each other's company. Pamela Cree's family has always tried to travel somewhere new each year with memories stemming from Yellowstone National Park to New York City.

Redfish Catch at New Smyrna, FL

Our weekends are a time to relax and regroup from busy weekdays. We are either planning BBQ's with smoked meats for family sharing or excitedly waiting in line for the new Marvel movie to come out. We are both huge movie and TV buffs and love experiencing a new and exciting movie on the big screen. We also enjoy our home down-time with a nice blanket and book. In each of these accounts, it brings a smile to our faces knowing we can share this with a child and give them just as many good memories that we have had.

Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other

Visiting the Gazebo Where We Were Married

Pamela Cree About Tyler: Tyler and I have been together for twelve years and counting. We met at the end of high school and have been inseparable since. He is truly my best friend and makes it his personal mission to make me smile and laugh on a daily basis. He has one of the most optimistic personalities and always makes me feel I can do anything I set my mind to. From cooking our favorite meals to singing loudly in the car on the way to the grocery store, Tyler is one-of-a-kind and I feel so lucky sharing my life with him. I cannot wait to start our journey of parenthood with him because I know our child will share in our daily laughs and adventures.

Tyler About Pamela Cree: Pamela Cree is the best wife I could have ever asked for. She has brought me out of my shell with her kind and outgoing personality. She has a passion for travel and we have gone to many exciting and new places together, sharing laughs along the way. Pamela Cree is one of the most generous people I have ever known and goes out of her way to help strangers, friends, and family alike. I am excited to share this new journey with Pamela Cree, because I know the life, love, laughter, and kindness she has given me will be ten-fold with a new baby in our lives.

Our Family Traditions

Family traditions are an important part of both our families because it is something concrete and stable that we all can fall back on when life is hectic and busy. When we first started dating, it was so fun to see the different traditions that have now become staples in our lives each year. Tyler's father was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and made it tradition to always cheer our team on with delicious, fried chicken wings in hand. Tyler's mother and uncle make it a point to read a Christmas devotion from his grandfather's bible prior to opening gifts in remembrance of the true meaning of Christmas. Pamela Cree's parents started the tradition of exchanging Christmas ornaments every year which makes the Christmas tree sparkle with memories alongside the lights. Pamela Cree found the love for Halloween from her parents and loves making her own Halloween decorations to share with the neighborhood. Both families always allow the birthday boy or girl to choose what's for dinner on their special day with Pamela Cree's favorite being pot roast with mashed potatoes and Tyler's being New Orleans pasta. We cannot wait to see how a child would fit into any and all of these traditions!

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

Warm, southern welcomes from our house to yours! We have lived in our rural subdivision for 3 years now and have been blessed with a diverse group of happy couples and growing families as our neighbors.

Our local elementary school is right down the road and has walking trails for both foot traffic and golf carts to allow for safe passage. It is common to hear children's laughter and talks early in the morning as families either walk to school or wait for the school bus.

Our community has a very hometown feel that celebrates its locals with arts and crafts, fun-filled activities for children, and tasty food from local establishments. There are local parks, walking trails, and dog parks where families gather for sporting events, picnics, and/or family gatherings.

The community is tight-knit and connected with an online presence that provides updates on safety and upcoming activities. We love to celebrate our community by attending gatherings, eating at local establishments, and participating in neighborhood events such as our huge trick-or-treat sessions every Halloween!

Where we live in Georgia, is driving distance of the Atlantic Ocean, Appalachian Mountains, and big city influences allowing for the chance to make plenty of fun-filled memories!

Our Extended Families

Tyler's Family

Family is the center of our core values. Both of our families live in the same town about 45 minutes away which makes it easy for visits, but daily phone calls are a must! Gatherings around the holidays are fun-filled events with traditions passed on from many generations.

Tyler and Cree With Cree's Parents at Central Park, NY

Tyler has one older brother who is married to his wife and has two lively boys. Tyler and his brother love to fish and our nephews are just starting to participate in sports which we love to cheer them on from the sidelines! Tyler's mom was a stay-at-home mother and is very active in her grandchildren's lives with frequent visits to the park, library, and wildlife center. Tyler's father has since passed, but his morals and infectious smile are carried on in his children and grandchildren.

Pamela Cree is an only child and is very close with her parents. Pamela Cree's mother has been a preschool teacher for over 15 years and her father is a utilities manager. Both are ecstatic for their first grandchild!

Finally, we could not end a discussion about family without mentioning our ten-year-old pup dog, Briar! He is our fur baby and has been with us through many adventures and will gladly give an approving tail wag on this next journey.

Everyone is so excited and supportive of our plans to adopt. We all cannot wait to be part of the child's life and look forward to sharing all of our love!

From Us to You

First and foremost, thank you! We are humbled and appreciative that you have taken the time to learn more about us. It is our hope to help bring comfort and stability during your decision process with the promise to provide a loving, safe, and stable home to your child.

Our story started in high school, at a beach trip taken during our high school senior year spring break. We become fast friends with similar interests in music, movies, and food. Before we knew it, we were holding hands at the college we would both attend at a local arts fair and never looked back. We dated for nine years throughout both our college careers and first jobs as mechanical engineer and inpatient clinical dietitian. Once we felt stable in our careers, it was not a hard decision to take the next step and get married. We have been together now for twelve years and, instead of the sound of the newest pop song playing in the background, we want to hear the "pitter-patter" of small feet running around us throughout our home. With this in mind, our careers have allowed many opportunities including our most recent positions as a four-day work week aerospace operations engineer and work-from-home clinical dietitian in preparation for a newborn and the many milestones seen within a child's growth.

We are unable to have biological children of our own. To be completely honest, early in our relationship, we thought we were going to be one of those couples that would just travel and grow old together just us. But the future always holds surprises, and we found ourselves thinking more about the possibility of parenthood and how fulfilling and amazing that life could be. We are very excited at the opportunity to be able to grow our family and look forward to the day that can be realized.

We both come from close-knit families who have instilled the importance of core values such as: love, devotion, compassion, strength, self-reliance, strong work ethic, humor, and open-mindedness. These values would be taught and demonstrated to him/her daily and not only by us as parents, but through their grandparents and the rest of our extended family who are ecstatic for a new addition to our family.

With several of those values in mind, we want to emphasize how important you are to us and always will be. Your decision, if you choose to make it, would turn our dream of becoming parents into a reality. We welcome your ongoing participation in his/her life, whatever you choose for that to be. We are happy to share updates through pictures and stories whether it be online or letters. Please know, communication with you can always evolve naturally and with everyone's comfort in mind. He/she will be included in this through keepsakes that mark milestones in their life. You will be respected in our household with words and actions and, in our humble opinion, you are amazing to us because you are making a selfless, brave decision that would be cherished.

Sincerely,

Tyler & Pamela Cree
