Chip is excited to be a dad – and he will do everything possible to provide amazing experiences for your child. He likes to say that he is already preparing his "dad-a-base" with dad jokes. Corny, right? When your child is old enough, he can't wait to share his love of Legos with them. He also looks forward to taking them on biking trips (he is already researching biking trailers for toddlers and balance bikes for when your child is old enough).

Rocki will no doubt be a loving mother. She has so many plans to teach and educate her kids, give them opportunities to broaden them and be successful. Chip can't imagine a better mother-to-be.

We have always encouraged each other to pursue our goals, and we will do the same for your child. If they want to be an astronaut, we will make sure that our next vacation includes a trip to NASA. If they want to be an artist, we will sign them up for art classes and take them to the art museum. No matter what your child wants to do in life, we will help them achieve their dreams.

We can't wait to share our love for adventures with your child.

On the weekends we enjoy going on bike rides around Alexandria and into the city of Washington, D.C.

Each year we also love going on vacations, and when your child is old enough, we can't wait to have them help us plan where we go each year.

One of our favorite vacation spots is Hilton Head. Chip grew up going on vacation there every year. Chip enjoys early morning runs on the beach, while Rocki walks and looks for shells. In the evenings we always enjoy walking on the beach after dark.

We also enjoy going on cruises. Our favorite cruise destination is Bermuda. We had fun exploring the island, swimming, and kayaking on the ocean. We love meeting new friends on the ship and look forward to dinners each night.

Some of our other memorable adventures have been to New York City, Niagara Falls, the Bahamas, Port Canaveral, and skiing in Pennsylvania.

We live in a luxury apartment that is nestled in the city of Alexandria, Virginia. With two bedrooms, a dining room, living room, and large kitchen, we have plenty of space to add to our family. Our apartment building has a beautiful pool, an herb garden, and a club room. It also has concierge with controlled access.

Within walking distance of our apartment, we have preschools, playgrounds, parks, walking trails, and a splash pad. We love hopping on the trolley and riding into Old Town where there are restaurants, cafes, and ice cream!

One of our favorite things about living in Alexandria is that we are just 10 miles away from Washington, D.C. A quick metro ride into the city gives us the opportunity to explore our nation's capital, from the national monuments to the Smithsonian museums. We can't wait to share the history and culture with your child.

When we moved to this area a few years ago, we decided to rent an apartment. As we learn more about the area, we are trying to decide where we want to buy a home. Once we bring our child home, we plan on beginning the process of purchasing our forever home.

Your child will experience so much love and support from their future grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Our immediate families live in Ohio, but we have extended family from the west coast to the east coast.

Chip grew up as an only child but has a very large extended family. We see Chip's parents multiple times a year, and enjoy spending holidays together. When we visit Chip's parents we like going out to eat and sitting around the kitchen table playing cards. Chip's parents enjoy going to basketball and baseball games to cheer on some of the younger kids in our extended family.

We also see Chip's extended family every year at a family reunion in Pennsylvania. The reunion always involves golf, eating lots of good food, and plenty of stories and jokes.

We enjoy spending time with Chip's cousins, Ryan, Shannon, and Shannon's husband, Jon. Jon and Shannon recently adopted a baby girl, and we are so excited for our children to grow up together.

Rocki's immediate family, who also live in Ohio can't wait to expand the family. Her family, which includes her parents, siblings, their partners, and nieces and nephews enjoy visits multiple times a year.

When we visit Rocki's family, we usually get together to have a meal. Sometimes we go out to dinner and sometimes we have a BBQ. We love getting together for Christmas and opening presents on Christmas Eve.

We have been married since 2011 and over the past 10+ years, we have been preparing to become parents. We have established a solid foundation for our marriage, where our love and respect for each other grows every single day. Also, since we got married, we have become established in our careers, Rocki finished her PhD, and Chip became a Certified Financial Planner. We have a happy marriage, satisfying careers, and financial stability. We are now ready to grow our family.

We live in the Washington, D.C. area, and we can't wait to explore the area with a child. We strongly believe that education is important - but we also believe that education can happen both formally in the classroom and informally by exploring the world. We live near museums, the zoo, and national monuments. We are so excited to teach your child about the world and share our experiences - and we can't wait to see what your child teaches us!

We have family and friends that have adopted, so your child will grow up in an environment where adoption is not just normal, but also celebrated. Your child will be a part of a family and network of support, love, and opportunity.

We promise you that we will love your child unconditionally. We will provide a safe home for your child to grow up where they can be themselves. We want to give them every opportunity to achieve their hopes and dreams as they grow up. We will also share their birth story with them because we understand the importance of family and understanding their identity. We want them to know about you and we want you to be as much a part of their life as you would like to be. We hope to stay connected with you. We are open to emails, phone calls, exchanging pictures, and we are willing to travel to you, so that you can spend time with your child. If you have other children, or if you have more children in the future, we want your child to know his or her siblings.

We can't wait to share our life with your child - we look forward to baking cookies, going on bike rides, reading stories, traveling, family vacations and traditions, and so much more. Your child will have a good education, a supportive community of family and friends, and most importantly, so much love.
