Why We Chose Adoption

Our Family

We chose adoption because we knew, in our hearts, that our family is not complete. We also feel strongly that we are to care for and love our neighbor. We've dreamed of a new little one for such a long time that the thought of it becoming a reality is so exciting for us all! This baby has been in our hearts for years.

Our kids are SO excited about bringing a baby into our family. We have Caroline, 12, Barrett, 9, Lyla, 7, and Weston, 5. Caroline and Lyla are tender and fun girls, they love caring for little children and are incredible assistants in the kitchen. Barrett and Weston are outgoing, energetic boys that bring so much life into our home! We love having a big family and all the noise and fun that comes along with that. Your child's big brothers and sisters are already preparing for his or her arrival! We already have pictures the kids have drawn for the new baby hanging on the wall. We talk often about getting to take the baby on trips, and who gets to push the stroller. We have so many dreams of the sweet things a baby is going to add to our bedtime story time and our adventures. Every day our kids squeal with excitement about the thought of the new baby!

Education We Will Provide

Visiting Yosemite

We absolutely love being with our children throughout the day and watching them learn and grow throughout the years. So much of what we learn is day to day which includes life on the farm.

We are fortunate in that we have a group of families who all homeschool our children. We have moms who are English teachers, elementary teachers and a pediatrician that all pour into the education we provide. There are so many kids of all ages that are a part of our community.

Doing school from home allows us to travel (which we LOVE to do), and we take school with us! We have had lessons on volcanoes and marine life in Hawaii. We have studied rocks and Native American history in Texas. We have studied the water system and mountain formations in Yosemite. We studied government and the presidents by traveling to Washington, D.C. We have so many more trips to take and are so excited to have another child to share them with!

Our Favorite Vacation Spot

Hawaii

One fun thing about our family is that part of our job is managing AirBnBs! It allows us to get to travel to our favorite vacation spots in the mountains and in Hawaii! We love skiing, hiking, swimming in mountain lakes and rivers, snorkeling, fishing, surfing, shell hunting, long coffee times in the mornings, boating, and going out to eat. We get to spend time exploring those places and it has given us countless family memories and adventures. Since we homeschool, we just bring school with us! It has been a wonderful way for our family to step away from everyday life and focus on getting closer to each other.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

We are very grateful to be able to live in the country on a farm and horse ranch with a view of the mountains. We get to enjoy walking through the orchard, going past the white fences on the way to our red barns to visit our three horses, two goats and many chickens. We have two wide open grass yards with heritage oak trees that give us a canopy of shade. Each of the two oaks have an idyllic swing that the kids love playing on. We also have a playscape that we enjoy putting a garden hose on to make our own water slide in the summer! Our kids go back and forth from running around in the grass to jumping in the pool all summer long. We have a garden and we get fresh fruits and veggies all year round. The kids love going out there and eating lunch straight off the tree, and they then come back with precious berry-stained cheeks. We have a wonderful neighbor that has three young children that our kids love growing up in the country with. It really is a great place to raise a family and we cannot wait to share it with another child!

Our Playset

Our Extended Families

Caleb's Family

Family is so important to us! We live by Caleb's parents and two of his three brothers. There are so many cousins our kids have, 20 to be exact, and they get the chance to play very often. They are all best friends, and look up to the older cousins. All of our siblings have at least four kids, including one adopted niece. We see each other at least weekly at church. Caleb's parents are nearby and are the dream grandparents. Granddaddy just finished building an incredible treehouse complete with electricity for the grandkids!

Lori's Family

Lori's family is in Texas and we travel there often to visit, staying with CiCi, and playing cards, games, swimming with cousins, and baking with Aunt Kristen. We sometimes even get to go out to the family ranch and really experience Texas while there!

Our families are both very supportive of adoption and are anticipating this new addition to our family!

From Us to You

We want to first thank you for reading our profile. We admire your bravery and know you have thought so much about and deeply want the best for your baby. You have chosen life for your little one and we are in awe of you for considering adoption.

About us ... We have been married since 2007 and early on in our marriage we talked about wanting to adopt. We met in college and dated for three years before getting married, and we are more in love than we were when we first met. We have four kids, and our home is a place of fun, comfort, growth, and love. We feel that having older siblings to your child will provide such a great experience for your baby! We are seasoned (but not old! ) parents and know how to guide a child's heart towards becoming the fullest version of who they were created to be! We have been able to already learn so many lessons about parenting.

Adoption is something that is quite familiar to us. It is a huge part of our family and group of friends. We have a niece and many adoptees whom we've met and have wonderful love and admiration for. We are very family oriented, and all our children are blessed with an incredible support system. Large families = LARGE LOVE! Your child would have no less than 2 brothers, 2 sisters, one loving grandfather, two grandmothers, and 20 precious cousins! SOOOO much fun! We have Sunday meals together, have game nights, and spend holidays cooking together! We mostly love watching the kids play together!

We are grateful to be self-employed and work from home. Caleb does real estate and farming and can do most of his work from home. Lori is a full-time mom. She loves days cooking with the kids, taking the kids on walks, going to playdates, doing crafts, or reading by the fire. Our kids spend endless hours outside building forts, riding bikes and playing with the horses, chickens, goats, dog, and cat. We also take many trips throughout the year up to the mountains to a cabin by the lake and most years we get to travel to Hawaii and explore the beaches there. We can't wait to share these things with your child who will make our family complete!

As parents, we understand how much you love your child and how difficult this decision must be for you. It would be an honor for you to consider placing your child with our family and we will never take for granted the blessing you have given us. We look forward to sending you updates and remaining in contact, if that is something you are comfortable with, so that you can always know how your child is doing and know how loved they are by everyone in their lives.

Last, but not least, you and your baby are loved by us! There is a reason for why this is happening in your life. We thank you for considering us as potential parents and want you to know that you are in our prayers!

Sincerely,

Caleb & Lori
