We love to spend time together as a family! Some of our favorite hobbies include running, biking, going for long walks, playing in our backyard, and swimming.

Kyle enjoys mountain biking, snow skiing, and swimming. Susan loves to run, kayak, and garden and Brennen enjoys coloring, playing his ukulele and riding his bike.

We are very social people. We spend a lot of time with our friends and family. Kyle's parents live down the road from us and we see them often. When we are at his parent's home, you can usually find us swimming in their pool, eating homemade cookies, or sitting on the patio enjoying their backyard with them.

We also spend a lot of time with our friends and their young children. We often meet up at the park or lake and let the kids play and interact with each other. We always have a great time. We look forward to the day when we can enjoy these activities with our new family member.

Before we got married, Susan learned that it would be very difficult for her to have children. With that in mind, we decided years ago, that we would like to grow our family through adoption someday. We both have several cousins and friends who are adopted, so it was a very natural decision and one that our extended family has wholeheartedly welcomed.

Susan has a medical condition that causes serious complications for our babies while pregnant. The most predominant complication is placental insufficiency. As a result, we have had three children born premature, two of which passed away shortly after birth.

Our son Warren was born in February of 2019 and passed away immediately after delivery. Our son Brennen was born in June of 2020 at 3 lbs. He spent a month in the NICU and has no complications from being born premature. He is a very happy 3-year-old boy!

Our daughter Sophie was born in August of 2022 and lived for six precious hours before she passed away.

While Susan is very healthy, her doctors strongly believe that placental insufficiency, amongst other issues, will continue to occur with every pregnancy. We want another child, but we know that is not something that we can likely be able to do on our own.

We believe that now is the perfect time for us to adopt. We love being parents and we cannot wait to welcome another child into our family! We are very excited for the opportunity to adopt.

Susan About Kyle: Kyle is one of the kindest people you will ever meet. His smile is contagious and lights up the room. Kyle has an amazing ability to connect with others and make them feel valued. He easily gets along with everyone that he meets. You are never without a friend if Kyle is around!

Kyle is incredibly selfless and is always silently serving those around him. He is quick to see other's needs and help them. Kyle is a very hard worker; he is dependable and reliable. You can always count on Kyle to get the job done!

Kyle is the best Dad in the world! He is incredibly patient and always makes Brennen a priority. He makes sure to involve Brennen in everything that he does, whether that be work or play.

Kyle About Susan: I adore Susan. She is the most kind, patient, and loyal person I have ever met. Susan is passionate about serving other people. Whether it's helping a stranger at the grocery store or taking a meal to a neighbor who is feeling under the weather, she is always sharing her time and talents with others.

Susan is the best mother. Her creativity and happiness is contagious for the whole family. She is quick to involve Brennen in anything she is doing around the home, whether it's making a home cooked meal, doing an art project, or tidying up her garden. Susan is a beacon of positivity and makes me want to be a better person every single day.

We absolutely love where we live! We live in beautiful Northern California where we own a home. Our home is in a family friendly, suburban neighborhood very close to where we both grew up. Our town is known for its excellent schools and family friendly environment. It has been voted one of the best cities to live in and we agree!

Our neighborhood is the perfect place for long walks and family bike rides. One of our favorite things about it are the two large parks within walking distance of our home. In addition to the parks, we have a five-mile paved walking trail that goes throughout our neighborhood. We love to spend time on the walking trail.

Our favorite place most of all is our home, it is our happy place. We purchased our home two years ago and have spent a lot of time renovating it with the help of family members. We are very proud of all the hard work that we have put in. Our home is a clean, safe, peaceful place where we love to be.

When outside of our home, we enjoy spending time at Kyle's parent's house which is located nearby. We also have several great friends who live in the area. We frequently get together with them and their children. Our church is also located very close to our home. We feel very blessed to live in such a great community full of friends and family.

Our extended families are incredible! We love spending time with them. Our family network is beautifully spread out between California, Utah, and Texas. We are fortunate to have Kyle's parents and brother living nearby allowing us to connect with each other often. Susan's parent's and the rest of our siblings live out of state, and we make it a priority to visit them regularly. They in turn, come out to California and visit us a lot as well.

Whether it's our annual camping trip to the beach or traveling to a new destination, each visit is a chance to celebrate being together with family and the love that binds us. We enjoy exploring new places, going kayaking at the lake, family bike rides, and visiting the local ice cream shops. Most evenings during our family gatherings include lively card games that include a lot of laughter and friendly competition. These cherished traditions form the heart of our family unity, instilling in us a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life and the precious moments we share together.
