Brock has been a commercial real estate broker for twenty years focusing on selling buildings in New York City - although, he prefers to fancy himself an amateur weather man, a title that annoys Annie as his obsession with the weather is often his favorite topic!

Annie started a fitness company with two other women about ten years ago that grew from a boutique fitness studio into a digital fitness company. While Annie loves her company and her work (she is the definition of a girl boss!) she most looks forward to the "job" of being a stay-at-home mom and feels very blessed that Brock is supportive of that desire. In addition to staying at home and raise children, Annie looks forward to continuing to volunteer in our community.

We have a 7-year-old miniature goldendoodle named Murphy, who loves to be the center of attention! He was a gift that Annie gave to Brock for Brock's birthday when Murphy was just a puppy! Brock came home from work one day to find a puppy hiding under the bed! We still watch the video of that moment that Annie recorded because it just makes us smile. Murphy is a very spoiled dog who spends his days lounging around and begging for treats. He loves other puppies and babies and will be a wonderful fur brother to your child. Murphy is never happier than when he is playing outside in his backyard. We both grew up with dogs (and Brock had a cat Sprinkles as well) and feel like a home isn't complete without pets in it!

Our lifestyle is one that has a good balance of work and play. Brock goes to New York City every day for work but is able to work from home most Fridays and has flexibility as he runs his own team. Annie goes into the city a couple times per week but otherwise is home working or volunteering in the local community. We both love New York City and take advantage of living in close proximity to all the restaurants, theater, and other entertainment like concerts and art shows that the city provides. When we are not working, we spend quality time together by exploring are new town, hiking with our dog in the area's parks, and going to shows with friends at the local performing arts center or brewery. We love live music especially the outdoor concerts in our town's central park. We spend our summers at our beach house on Long Island which is about a three hour drive from our new home in Connecticut. We go to the beach often and Annie loves to cook big meals with ingredients from the local farms. We also love to travel whether to visit family and friends or to explore new places with one another. This summer we have trips planned to Italy and Mexico as well as Lake Michigan.

We both come from very close knit families.

Brock's parents live nearby while all of Annie's immediate family (and best friends!) live in Nashville, TN, and we go down there every couple of months to visit. Annie is extremely close with her brother, Thomas, and his wife Nazila, whose family is originally from Iran but live in Nashville now. Brock's brother, whom he is equally as close with, lives in Washington, D.C. with his fiance, Shannon.

We both come from families with lots of cousins, and we are blessed to call a lot of our cousins our best of friends and spend a lot of quality time with them throughout the year in places like New York, Chicago and California.

We love to travel together and with our families - we have been to amazing places with our families such as the Bahamas, Hawaii, Europe, and Alaska. We cannot wait to travel with our children.

There are no grandchildren yet on either side, and both set of our parents cannot wait to be grandparents!

Connecticut - We just moved to a quaint town in Connecticut after having lived in New York City for almost two decades. We chose this town because we have Brock's parents and very good friends who live here, one set who has two young boys, and because the school system is top rated. We have a strong support system here and are already very connected to our new community through volunteering with Meals on Wheels and our support of the town's performing art center. We recently joined a local church here as well.

We are within walking distance of the town center, which has a very Americana feel and look to it, and takes its holidays very seriously with a big Halloween parade for children and adults alike, a tree lighting ceremony with a visit from Santa during Christmas, and Memorial Day and Fourth of July parties as well.

The proximity to New York City allows us to go back and forth for work as well as for fun. We also spend a lot of time at our beach house on Long Island. Our house is in a wonderful neighborhood right on the harbor with a beautiful beach down the street. Our house is also only a seven- minute drive to town and to the ocean. We spend our summers out there hosting friends and family, going to the beach, out on the boat, and playing tennis. We love to entertain throughout the year. Annie is a very good cook, while Brock loves to handle the grill!

We are humbled and grateful that you have taken the time to consider us, and we thank you for giving us the opportunity to share with you a little about ourselves. The journey that you are on is one with many choices and decisions to be made. Please know that as you continue on this journey, our hearts are with you and your child. We are in true awe of your selflessness.

We have been married for eleven years and have committed to working through life's challenges with one another. Our marriage is by no means perfect, but we love and respect one another, and that guides how we navigate life. Both sets of our parents are still happily married and have been wonderful role models for us. We have bared witness to what it takes to maintain a healthy and happy marriage and family, committing to marriage as much as we commit to the role of being parents.

We find joy in even the most mundane of moments, and we make each other laugh constantly. We kiss each other every morning and every night before bed, and we love to celebrate each other. We can often be found having a dance party in our kitchen or challenging each other to little mini competitions. Our home is the gathering place for our family and friends, and we love to entertain. We love when our home is filled with people, animals, music and laughter.

We are awaiting the opportunity to build our family and are excited to provide your baby with a loving family and home. We have experienced many heartaches trying to bring a child into our lives, but we know that as long as we keep our hearts open and live with humility, we will be parents one day. We promise to give your child siblings as well when the time is right as we have such close relationships with our brothers and know the true value in the gift of having siblings. We will nurture that lifelong companionship just has our parents did for ours.

We look forward to the role that you will play whatever you chose that to be. You are important to us and always will be. We welcome your continued investment in your child's life. We would be honored to send email updates with pictures and stories as well as letters with keepsakes that mark milestones in your child's life. We are also open to making arrangements for visits when the time is right. We are eager to know you and happy to work together to cultivate and maintain a healthy relationship as a family through adoption. It is our commitment and promise to you that we will always speak highly of you and honor you through not only our words but also our actions. We want you to know that you are loved and that your child is loved. We will protect and raise this baby with unconditional love and a strong and dedicated support system.
