Zachary & Paizley
Our greatest desire is to grow our family, and we are excited to do that through the blessing of adoption. We value love, kindness, respect, and security in our home. We promise to dedicate our lives to raising your child to honor both you, and our family. We are praying for you as you face difficult choices ahead. Thank you for taking the time to consider us, and to get to know our hearts.
Our Family Traditions
Family is our priority in life, and we are big on celebrating traditions. We love to create "heart-shaped" foods for Valentine's Day like pizza, donuts, and pancakes, and make sure the people around us know we love them. For Easter we have an Easter egg hunt in Nana's backyard with all the cousins, followed by dinner at my Mime's house. We host a Mother's Day and Father's Day party at our house with various themes like: The Kentucky Derby, Mom Prom, Mystery Parties, and a Fish Fry. For the Fourth of July we spend time at our family lake house, see the fireworks in our town, and barbecue in our backyard.
In the fall we have a Family Night at Nana's with a hayride, pumpkin carving, and s'mores. When it comes to Thanksgiving we get to have lunch with Paizley's extended family, and dinner with Zachary's since they both live close. Christmas is a big deal in our family where we attend local celebrations like ice skating downtown, local light shows, and stroll the German Christmas Market. We also exchange gifts, stuff stockings, and eat special meals, like Mime's Christmas chocolate cake. For New Year's Eve we celebrate with the "wishing tree" where everyone writes down their wishes for the new year and seals it in an ornament until the next year. We also celebrate birthdays and milestones together. We love traditions and sharing it with others!
How We Met
The story of how we met depends on who you ask. Zachary would say we met at a graduation party where Paizley handed him a piece of cake and he fell in love in that moment. Paizley would say she has no memory of the cake moment, but does remember meeting him at a Fourth of July celebration a few weeks later.
From the start of our relationship, we knew we had similar values and life goals. We are both family oriented and love spending time together. We dated about a year before Zachary proposed in his parent's backyard by decorating a Christmas tree with an ornament that said, "Will you marry me?" We got married in 2016, and have loved every minute of sharing our life together for the almost eight years we have been married. We love each other, and have so much love to share with a child.
Qualities We Love, Admire and Respect in Each Other
We have been married for almost eight years, and our love for each other has grown over time. Paizley loves Zachary's loyalty and his desire to always help others no matter what the problem is. Zachary is a helper at his core, and he will do anything to help those that he loves. He is reliable, a hard worker, and extremely caring. Zachary will make a great father because he makes his family a priority and puts others before himself. He is fun-loving and easygoing, and makes friends wherever he goes. Zachary loves Paizley's intentionality, creativity, and sweet spirit. She loves to celebrate others, and always knows the perfect gift to give for occasions. She uses her creativity to make other people feel special, and makes it a priority to be in tune with other people's needs. She is very sweet, and her students loved spending their days with her when she was a first-grade teacher. Paizley will make a great mother because she loves children, is very observant with others, and has a calm nature. We are both flexible people, and recognize that being parents will come with many challenges. We know we will not have all the answers, and are dedicated to learning about your child in order to be able to provide the best environment to meet his or her needs. We feel our strengths will allow us to grow a relationship with your child and to love him or her unconditionally.

Our Extended Families
Our families played a huge role in our childhoods. We are blessed to live close by to both sides of our immediate and extended families. Your child will be the first grandchild for our parents, and will be so loved. Our families will be a part of your child's life, and your's too if that is your desire. We love to celebrate holidays together and our daily lives are entwined with each other.
The guys in our family love to eat barbecue and watch football on the weekends, while the girls love to visit antique stores. We love to spend time at our family lake house, and even go on annual trips skiing and to the beach with our families.
When it comes to holidays, our families make every one special. We have so many traditions that will be so fun to pass on and share with a child. Easter egg hunts in Nana's backyard, Christmas morning breakfast with my grandmother where she makes her famous chocolate cake, and watching the Thanksgiving Parade while we make my Aunt Linda's veg-all casserole.
Besides getting together for big occasions, we can also count on our families to help us no matter what. If we need help painting a room, fixing a flat tire, or just giving good advice we know that they will always be there for us and for your child. They are so excited about our adoption plans, and can't wait for our family to grow!
Our House and Neighborhood
We live in a small town in Alabama, and love the community atmosphere it provides. Our home is located in a subdivision that has many children, and they play together frequently. Our neighborhood puts on family barbecues and a fall festival with inflatables, carnival games, and treats. Our house is two-story with three bedrooms and a bonus room. We have a large backyard that connects to a walking trail and a lake where children fish and feed the ducks. We love to spend time in our sunroom or upstairs watching movies together. We have a craft room and office upstairs, and a family room and kitchen downstairs. We love to decorate our home for holidays too!
Our town helps create traditions for families. We love strolling the Farmer's Market on Saturdays and getting ice cream from Kreme Delight. There are annual events like the Valentine's Chocolate Walk, Storytelling Festival, 4th of July fireworks, Halloween Walking Tours, Christmas Parade, Fiddlers Convention, and Ice Skating on the Square. Our town also puts on an Old-Fashioned Kid's Carnival during the summer for children to ride carnival rides, play games, and spend time with their friends. Besides the fun events, our town also has many parks, nature trails, and sports fields for the active little league. Local churches put on Easter egg hunts, trunk or treats, and fall festivals. Seasonally, we have a tulip farm, many pumpkin patches, and Christmas tree farms we love to visit. It is a great place to grow up!
From Us to You
Thank you for taking the time to learn about our family. We know that you have many difficult decisions and feelings during this time, and the fact that you are willing to consider our family humbles us. We promise to provide a loving, nurturing, and safe home for your child to grow and learn.
We met about ten years ago at a friend's graduation party. For Zachary, it was love at first sight, but Paizley caught up quickly a few weeks later. We have been married for almost eight years, and have wanted to have a child for a while. After trying to conceive for many years, we have learned that we cannot have children biologically. At first this brought sad feelings, but we soon began exploring options and realized that adoption has been a desire for us all along. Even on our first date, we remember discussing how we would both love to adopt one day, but we did not know it would be with each other. Adoption is a blessing for our family, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be considered.
We believe childhood should be magical and fun. We will provide a home filled with family traditions, movie nights, school projects, vacations, park visits, and holiday celebrations. We desire to establish a relationship with your child where we know their needs and how to meet them. We promise to always be there for your child and love them unconditionally. We are dedicated to being involved parents and will make your child our priority. Zachary works as a Senior Principle Electrical Engineer and frequently is able to work from home. He gets every other Friday off, and his company makes family life a priority. Paizley is a former elementary teacher who quit her job with the intent to expand our family and stay at home. Our lifestyle lends itself to us being able to spend lots of time with your child, and make their childhood special.
We desire to keep open communication with you, and have a relationship with you if you desire. We value you as a person, and as a birth parent. We will send letters and pictures to you, and are open to phone/video calls, texts, photo books, and visits when the time is right. We will share with you milestones and celebrations and keep you updated as much as wanted. We will always be open and honest with your child and make sure he or she knows they are adopted and that you are their birth mother. We will always make sure you are honored in our home both in our words and our actions. We will make sure that your child knows they can ask any questions they have about their adoption journey. We want to include you as part of our family, if you desire.
Our families are very excited and supportive about our decision to adopt, and your child will be the first grandchild on both sides of our families. We both have family members who are adopted, and feel they will be a great resource for your child as they grow. Our families will be committed to your child and will be there for every tee ball game, dance recital, birthday, or random Tuesday game night. We are excited about the future and what adoption will bring to our family. We do not have any children yet, but are eager to share our life and family with a child. In the future, we would love to grow our family further through adoption so your child will have siblings. We would love for your child to have someone to play and grow up with. We would love to have a family made up of various backgrounds and we plan to celebrate that throughout our lives. We can't imagine the difficult decisions you are facing, and we just want to thank you for taking the time to get to know us. Growing our family through adoption is the desire of our hearts, and we hope our care for you is evident through our words. We will be praying for you as you are on this journey.
