Personal Adoption Story
Kathy's Adoption Scholarship Story

The only thoughts I had about adoption before I became pregnant was that one day when I was older and settled and ready to teach someone what I know, I might adopt. About five months into my unexpected pregnancy, I realized, sadly, that the father did not want a family and was not going to help support me or his child, emotionally, physically, or monetarily.
I had a difficult time finding an agency that did not discriminate against my spiritual beliefs. I very much appreciated the fact that I could get on the Internet at my convenience and read the parental biographies on the American Adoptions website. My counselor, Sara Foster was easy to reach, always helpful, and I know she really cared and still cares about me, my feeling, views and concerns. The adoptive couple could not have been more wonderful. We have give each other the lives we wanted. We will always be grateful for one another. I feel extremely fortunate that I found American Adoptions. They were the perfect answer to my situation. |
